Peter Klaven:
I love you, man.
Sydney Fife: I love you, too, bud.
Peter Klaven: I love you, dude.
Sydney Fife: I love you, Bro Montana.
Peter Klaven: I love you, holmes.
Sydney Fife: I love you, Broseph Goebbels.

And, your baby zen moment:
I am your parent you are my child
I am your quiet place, you are my wild
I am your calm face, you are my giggle
I am your wait, you are my wiggle
I am your quiet place, you are my wild
I am your calm face, you are my giggle
I am your wait, you are my wiggle
This is how I feel about Marina today. When I was pregnant, we went to the book store and bought some baby books. I don't even remember reading them all the way through. We started a bedtime routine for Marina and we read her 1 or 2 books each night. When I read "You are my I love you," it captured how I feel about being a mother and how it has made me grow. I'm supposed to help Marina grow, but she's really the one making me a better person.

To blog or not to blog...
To blog or not to blog, that is the question. As much as I find myself hilarious, I am on not under a grand delusion that others agree. Like any good (lapsed) student, I made a list of reasons to blog and reasons not to blog.
To blog:
- to capture memories of our sweet little bean (cutest baby girl on planet earth, if I'm being honest)
- to capture some wisdom that I would like to share with the little bean
- to have an outlet for my random thoughts, fleeting obsessions and commentary on human existance
- another outlet to talk about how amazing Marina is (bragger)
- based on my blog homework, there are several "themes" that could keep me blogging more regularly
- I enjoy writing and my job is in finance
Not to blog:
- What could I have to say that is worthy of the Internets?
- Really, I don't think I'm that interesting
- starting a blog and updating a blog regularly are two different things
- not sure who I would share it with
Conclusion: I'm starting this blog really just for me, Keith and Marina (the bean's legal name). If, at some point, others read it and enjoy it, that would be icing on the cake!
Structure:
One major stumbling block in starting a blog was that I worried about having enough to write about on a regular basis. The bean definitely gives us a ton of material, but I don't want everything to be about her. I'm more than just a Mom, I swear (even though my Facebook page would argue). I also love reading, television, traveling, working full time and pop culture. I'm also really a big nerd and I think that hits home with most people. Also, I plan to steal lots of ideas from other bloggers that I find funny.
Let's do it! Next blog will be an introduction to our cast of characters: Leigh, Keith, Bean (Marina), Lily (our eldest cat) and Max (our youngest cat).
